description: Our discussion topic this month is “History of the Salem Witch Trials.” We will meet in the community room at Koval, which is to the left of their gift shop. The main bar to order any drinks or small snacks is to the right of the store. The following is the bio of our group and below this will be the source material for our July Salem talk. Are you a girlie obsessed with ghosts, aliens, true crime, cryptids, and general spooky shenanigans? Do you crave new like-minded friends to accompany you in a deep dive into your favorite creepy topics and share the cozy, warm feeling of a terrifying horror film? Our group meets every first Thursday of the month from 7-9 at a city proper establishment to discuss topics like a true crime podcast or documentary, a trilogy of horror movies, a gothic fiction novel title, personal experiences and beliefs about spirits, historical sightings of Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster, etc. We also at times organize some extra events, like going to the movies, listening to a live lecture expert, or going on haunted tours. Our group began on MeetUp in Oct. 2023 and is now instead moving to other platforms. (We are LGBTQ-inclusive. We welcome anyone female/femme/trans/non-binary age 18+ of all generations. We are disability and chronic pain inclusive--please DM me [your host Jen] before an event with any accessibility needs).
