ANDY DUNN Andy Dunn co-founded Bonobos in 2007 and served as the company’s CEO for its first ten years, pioneering the digitally native brand movement. The company’s Guideshop model redefined what an offline retail experience could be in the digital era. Bonobos was acquired for $310 million in 2017. In 2022, Dunn published a national bestseller, Burn Rate: Launching a Startup and Losing My Mind, in which he lifts the veil on his journey at the intersection of entrepreneurship and bipolar disorder. Burn Rate is now in development as a scripted television series. Dunn’s latest venture is Pie, a social app whose mantra is “chronically offline.” The company’s mission is to help people stop doomscrolling and spend twenty more hours per month socializing IRL. Pie is live in Chicago and Austin and now Columbus, with over 250,000 users, and was recently awarded 1871’s Rising Star Award, which highlights the city of Chicago's most promising new startup. As an angel investor and founder of Red Swan Ventures, Dunn has backed more than 150 startups and 11 unicorns, including Warby Parker, Scopely, and Coinbase. He is a co-founder and board director of Monica + Andy, an organic baby-apparel brand created with his sister, and serves on the board of RaisedBy.Us, a social-giving nonprofit. Dunn earned his B.A. from Northwestern University and his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
